Coat of arms of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje - Image by Željko Heimer, 17 June 2011
The coat of arms of is made of a white shield, bordered yellow,
with four blue wavy lines over a black base, a red and a green
triangle issuing from them forming a yellow vertex in the centre, and
in the chief inscribed in black the name of the municipality.
The title of the winning design provided by the author, "Vranica-Raduša", gives a hint of what was on
his mind with the design. Vranica and Raduša are the two mountains surrounding the valley in which the municipality is situated. The two triangles are therefore meant to represent the mountain slopes; moreover, red and green are, no doubt, chosen to represent the two ethnical communities, Croats and Bosniaks. The triangles are also a reminder of the
triangle in the national flag.
