The coat of arms of Pelagićevo is prescribed in Article 2 of Decision Odluka o grbu Opštine (Pelagićevo) (text), adopted on 2 July 1999 by the Municipal Assembly and published on 7 September 1999 in the Municipal official gazette Skupština Općine Pelagićevo, as follows:

- The coat of arms of the municipality is in a shield shape.
- The top half of the coat of arms is light blue and in it is a half-sun coloured yellow symbolizing life, wealth of nature, wormness of the people and the region.
- The yellow colour metaphorically symbolizes wheat and corn as basic crop plants, most frequent in the region.
- Over the centre of the coat of arms is the Serbian tricolour stating that the municipality is located in Republika Srpska.
- The lower half of the coat of arms is blue, symbolizing two lakes as natural potential for the development of tourism.
- In the lower part of the coat of arms is the tower of the Serb Orthodox church coloured yellow designating the national and religious identity of the region. - Above the shield is inscribed the name Pelagićevo in printed letters in Cyrillic script, coloured blue.
