The municipality of Lint (8,035 inhabitants on 1 January 2007; 557 ha) is located 10 km south-east of Antwerp and 5 km west of Lier.

The municipal flag of Lint is yellow, quartered by a red cross and with
a blue fleur-de-lis in each quarter.
According to Gemeentewapens in België - Vlaanderen en Brussel, the flag was adopted by the Municipal Council on 22 March 1982, confirmed by Royal Decree on 10
March 1987 and published in the Belgian official gazette on 3 December
1987. After the adoption of the current federal status of Belgium, the
whole adoption process was started again, with adoption by the
Municipal Council on 26 October 1992, confirmation by the Executive of
Flanders on 1 March 1993 and publication in the Belgian official
gazette on 21 June 1994.
The flag is a banner of the municipal arms.
The coat of arms of Lint was adopted by the Municipal Council on 5 April 1965 and confirmed by Royal Decree on 12 February 1968; the description was improved by the Municipal Council on 26 October 1992, and confirmed by the Executive of Flanders on 1 March 1993.
