The municipal flag of Bassenge is blue with a yellow fleur-de-lis
along the hoist, an abbot's crozier in the middle and two six-pointed
yellow stars placed vertically along the fly.
According to Armoiries communales en Belgique. Communes wallonnes, bruxelloises et germanophones, the flag was adopted by the Municipal Council on 31 August 2000 and confirmed by the Executive of the French Community on 15 July 2003.
The flag is a near banner of the municipal arms. On the arms, the
crozier is hold by a dextrochere (a right forearm and hand) emerging
between the two stars.
The municipal website shows the municipal coat of arms with a white fleur-de-lis, in spite of the official description saying yellow, and
faceted stars.
