The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is a labor union
representing health care, public services, and property service workers in the
US and Canada. Founded in 1921, the organization is headquartered in
Washington, DC.
I found a couple of photographs online of some of the
organization's flags. The main flag shows the union's logo on a purple field
with a thin white orle. The logo features a yellow rectangle with a purple
curving road leading toward a purple sunburst in the upper right corner of the
rectangle. Below the yellow rectangle is the organization's acronym in white,
italicized, capital letters, and the union's motto ("Stronger Together") in
yellow lettering. A photograph at
https://www.seiu721.org/campaigns/political/index.php?page=4 shows this
flag in the background, but with one of the union members holding a hand flag
with a different design, likely representing the local chapter (SEIU 721 in
southern California). Unfortunately, though, I have been unable to find any
additional good photographs of the handheld possible local flag.

I also
found a photograph online of what appears to be the local flag of SEIU West in
Canada. The design is very similar to the flag of the parent organization,
featuring the organization's logo on a purple field. The same yellow rectangle
with the curved road and sunburst is in the center of the field. Above the
rectangle are the italicized, white, capital letters "SEIU." Below the
rectangle is the word "WEST" in similar letters, with a small red maple leaf
following the "T." A photograph of this flag can be seen online at
