The Swiss version of Thin Blue Line Flag, which symbolizes support to the police, was created in early 2016 by two police officers from the canton of Vaud. It is derived from Swiss national flag by replacing red and white colors with black and light gray, respectively, and adding a blue horizontal stripe over all, its width being 1/2 of the cross arms' width. In many photos, the cross looks nearly white, but the Thin Blue Line Switzerland team has confirmed, in our e-mail correspondence on 14–15th March 2019, that its color is indeed light gray. The design is also used for pins, badges, stickers and the like. Designs for all cantons also exist, currently only in form of shield-shaped badges displaying grayscale depictions of cantonal arms with the Thin Blue Line over all (picture).

Other Thin Line designs also exist; of these, only the Thin Red Line having the same meaning as its USA counterpart, i.e. support to the firefighters, while the Thin Green Line, Thin Yellow Line and Thin Orange Line stand for the military, emergency medical service and security officers, respectively. As the Thin Blue Line Switzerland team has confirmed, none of these designs has been used for the flags so far and there are currently no plans to do so. There are also the designs for the cantons, modeled after the corresponding Thin Blue Line versions; for all cantonal designs, there are also no current plans to turn them into the flags.
