Colegio Wesleyano del Norte was established in 1992 by the priest Juan de la
Cruz Piñeros and his wife, Consuelo López. The school is named for the Anglican
priest and theologian John Wesley (1703-1791), founder of the Methodist Church.
The flag of Colegio Wesleyano del Norte is horizontally divided yellow-green
with the school's coat of arms in the center.
The coat of arms of Colegio
Wesleyano del Norte features a shield charged with an armored horse rider,
representing the evangelist John Wesley raising God's Word and sowing faith,
justice, love and respect for all wherever he rode. The shield is surmounted by
an helmet representing protection offered by Jesus Christ. A yellow scroll
placed above the shield is inscribed with the school's motto, "Dio y Sabiduría"
(God and Wisdom).

College Windsor was established in Novalmito borough, Valledupar (Cesar
Department) in 2008. The Windsor SAS company, formed by a group of teachers
sharing a great experience in education and commitment to service, purchased the
registration and legal rights of Colegio Capre.
The institutional symbols
of Colegio Windsor are prescribed in Chapter 1.3. of the school's Manual de
Convivencia as follows:
The school's main image is inspired from the
colors and elements representative of Windsor castle in England, which is the
project's namesake, because this castle is a symbol of elegance, tradition and
good manners. It is known as the world's biggest medieval castle still inhabited
and considered as one of the most representative of the monarchy, where
important treasures of the English crown and of the history of universal art are
kept. For us, our students are the most valuable treasure and education is the
legacy we want to offer to our society.
Our symbols' main element is the
lion, which has been used all along the mankind's history by great
civilizations, as a symbol of valor, force, and greatness. In the Bible, the
lion means power and justice, which are important values we want to transfer to
our students. The lion also evokes vigilance, representing the teacher taking
care of his students.
The representative symbols are the logotype, the
coat of arms, the flag, and the mascot. All of them feature lions in yellow
color, which is a symbol of loyalty. Heraldic lions mean body and soul, and
dedication.
[...]
The logotype is composed of our school's name
("Windsor School") in dark blue (Pantone 2738C). Beneath is placed the
identifying element of the logotype, composed of the initials "WS" in wine red
(Pantone 187C) surrounded by two lions looking at each other. The lions are
represented in bright yellow (Pantone 7406C), taking into account the heraldic
symbolic and the color's meaning and effect on human spirit.
Dark blue:
Confidence, wisdom, intelligence and truth. In coats of arms, blue is a symbol
of obedience, sincerity, and knowledge.
Wine red: Leadership capacity,
energy. In coats of arms, red is a symbol of valor, honor, and triumph.
Yellow: Evokes the sun. Symbolizes force, nobleness, constancy, loyalty, and is
associated with prosperity.
The flag incorporates the school's logo with
our characteristic elements. It is composed of four quarters, which represent
the four pillars of education: teaching to learn, teaching to have, teaching to
live together, teaching to be. These principles guide the school's educational
operation, using creative possibilities of teaching. In the upper left quarter
are featured the initials of the school's name ["WS" for "Windsor School"]; in
bright yellow letters on a wine red background; in the lower right quarter is
featured the school's name. In the upper right and lower left quarter are
featured two lions looking at each other. The background of each quarter is
composed of three blue and two wine red stripes, forming a total of ten stripes.
These lines highlights the universal symbolic of number ten. In the Bible, it
means the perfection of the divine order and human responsibility, and also the
completeness of universal creation. To the Pythagoreans number ten represents
the sum of all human knowledge.
