The company is established in 1912 by the brothers Gustav and Richard Buhk as Gebrüder Buhk in Hamburg, originally being a paver company. In 1929 their brother Wilhelm joins the company, but leaves it already in 1934, when Gustav Buhk died. The company is renamed to Richard Buhk. After WW2 in 1948 his sons Herbert and Werner join the company and it is renamed again to Richard Buhk und Söhne. Herbert leaves the company in 1951 and it is again renamed to Richard Buhk und Sohn. In 1952 Harald Buhk joins the company. In 1962 Richard Buhk dies and Jürgen Buhk joins the company. After the death of Jürgen Buhk Andreas becomes CEO in 1990. One star in the logo is added. In 1992 Andreas and Thomas Buhk establish RBS Kieshandelsgesellschaft mbH. All Flags are logo flags, parted per saltire of dark yellow (hoist and fly) and red (top and bottom) with a white disc in centre, charged with black unserifed initials "RBS" with a bigger "B".
Alongside the hoist were due to the principle: "a new generation - a new star":
1) three white 5-point-stars (1972 - 1987) (see left image above)
2) four white 6-point-stars (1987 - 2018) (see cantral image above)
2) five white 6-point-stars (since 2018) (see right image above)
