Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent, issuant from base an embattled wall Gules masoned Sable, above an impending sword Gules in pale and pointing downwards, superimposing a basket of peacock feathers Vert, eyed Gules-Or-Sable; at sinister Vert a linden branch Argent with 14 leaves.
Meaning:
The embattled wall is representing a castle, and is punning, as the name of the muncipality means "new eastern castle". The 14 bricks, incl. the pinnacles and the 14 leaves are symbolising the 14 villages, which formed the municipality. The peacock feathers are referring to Prince Heinrich I of Anhalt, displaying the crest of his helmet as shown in the Codex Manesse-

Shield Or with base Vert charged with a grain ear Or in fess with five awns, above a wolf rampant Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The ear is symbolising agriculture, fertility and blessing. The wolf is taken from the arms of the Lords of Wulffen, name givers of the village. He was modified but the tinctures were kept. The draft was made by Erika Fiedler

The arms were approved on 4 July 1994 by District Governor (Regierungspräsident) of Dessau, published in LHA No.37/1994. Flag and banner were approved on 4 September 2008 by the county administration, published in LHA No. 49/2008.
