Erlbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a key Argent in pale, at sinister Argent over a triplemount issuant Vert a ploughshare Sable.
Meaning:
The key is an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The triplemount is representing the hilly landscape in the Holzland, i.e. the woodlands. The ploughshare is symbolising agriculture and the rural character of the municipality. The colours red and white are those of the Archbishopric of Salzburg. The area of the current county belonged to the archbishopric since the 8th century and the village was first mentioned in 933 as Endlkirchen, when it was acquired by the archbishopric.
