Shield parted per pale of Azure and Argent, in chief a fess embattled in counterchanged tinctures, in base an annulet Gules.
Meaning:
A red annulet in a shield parted of blue and white displays the arms of the Erringer kin, local rulers in the 14th century. They had been vassals of the Marshals of Donnersberg. The embattled fess, here actually not a real fess but just a rectangle with three embattlements, is taken from their family arms.

The arms were approved on 5 May 1961 by Minister of Interior of Bayern. The banner in Bavarian colours white and blue had never been approved officially.
