Shield Azure, two wolf traps in bend sinister.
Meaning:
From the 19 th century until 1930 a seal of the village mayor was in use, displaying a high fir flanked by two bushes. The fir (German: Tanne) was considered to be canting. The current arms are a modification of the family arms of Dietrich Speth, local ruler until 1530, His family arms displayed three wolf traps in bend. The wolf traps in German are called "Dietriche" (= picklocks) due to their shape.
