Ahrensfelde Coat of Arms

Shield mantled reversed, above chequered of Argent and Gules, beneath Vert, over all a sheaf of five grain ears Or.
Meaning:
The ears are symbolising the five villages Ahrensfelde proper, Blumberg, Eiche, Lindenberg and Mehrow and are also alluding to the name, as the suffix "Felde" means "acre". Red and white are the colours of Brandenburg. The squares are also alluding to the shape of local parcels of land and to the fact that Ahrensfelde becomes some kind of suburb of Berlin.
Sources: German WIKIPEDIA and §2 of Hauptsatzung of Ahrensfelde Municipality, version 16 January 2012
Klaus-Michael Schneider, 30 Jan 2020

The arms were approved on 15 February 2007 by Minister of Interior of Brandenburg. Flag and banner were adopted on 16 January 2012 by the local council, valid since 14 February 2012.
