Shield parted by a fess wavy Argent; above Sable a demi-lion issuant Or, crowned, armed and tongued Gules; beneath Azure parted by a cross Argent; on heart point an inescutcheon Azure charged with an eagle Or armed Gules.
Meaning:
The county historically belonged to the Pfalz and the Bishopric of Speyer. This is symbolised in the arms by the lion of the Pfalz and the cross of the bishopric. The escutcheon displays the arms of the city of Germersheim. The wavy fess is symbolising the Rhine River.
