SG Hankensbüttel Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base Gules, charged with a bar wavy Argent, under a Gothic window Sable issuant from base a demi wheel Or, issuant from the spokes five leaves Vert, from dexter to sinister a leaf from a fir, beech, oak, linden and birch.
Meaning:
The five spokes of the demi wheel and the five different leaves are symbolising the five municipalities of the comprehensive municipality. The bar wavy is symbolising the Emmer, a local creek and its ponds.

Shield parted abased with ratio 2.1 by a fess wavy Argent, above Gules, a horsehead Argent flanked by a grain ear Or and an oak twig Or, beneath Vert issuant from fess wavy a lower demi millwheel Argent.
Meaning:
Horse, grain and oak are symbolising agriculture and forestry. The wheel is representing the local watermill. The fess wavy is symbolising Lachte River.
