Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per fess embattled of Sable and Argent, at sinister Gules two pilgrim´s staffs Argent in saltire and two scallops of the same, one in chief and one in base.
Meaning:
The partition per fess embattled is taken from the family arms of the Ungelter kin, living in the village from 1409 until 1554. The tinctures black and silver are alluding to the Vöhlin family from Frickenhausen, which lived in Oberbleichen since 1524 and had some rights of sovereignty in Nordhofen. The staffs in saltire and the scallops are taken from the arms are attributes of St. James the Elder, who had been patron of a hospital in Augsburg (Jakobsspital), which ruled Deisenhausen since 1679.
