In a silver (= white) shield is a red house with an open gate and a ridge turret. Two batons, topped by a fleur de lis each are crossed per saltire in front of the ridge turret.
Meaning:
Castle, village and a liitle town beneath the castle became a dominion of the Palatinate in 1330. Local rulers had been the Lords of Venningen, partially since 1392 and completely since 1637. This is symbolized by the batons. The house probably is a canting element. The arms are based on a court seal from 1748, displaying the house surrounded by creeper ornaments and initials "ZH" on the edge.

The banner was approved on 3 September 1963 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 687/1963. The coat of arms was adopted in 1905 by the municipality.
