Shield parted per pale, at dexter Vert a S-shaped pale wavy Argent parted into five pallets by lines of partition wavy Sable, at sinister Argent on top of a mount issuant Vert a fir of the same.
Meaning:
The arms were designed after the merger of five municipalities. The fir is representing the local forests, the five rows of branches are symbolising the five former municipalities. The pale wavy is symbolising the name giving Schleuse River. The partiton of the pale is again symbolising the five former municipalities. The shape of the pale is symbolising a letter "S", the initial of the municipality.

Shield Vert, above a stone Argent flanked by two firs Or, in base three concentric lower half circles Argent interrupted twice, once per bend and once per bend sinister.
Meaning:
The lower part of the arms displays the local open air theatre, which was built in the 1950ies. The upper half shows a canting stone (German: Stein), flanked by two firs, which are symbolising the Thüringer Wald, a forest. Trees and stone also appeared on a former municipal seal.
