Forst Coat of Arms

Shield Azure with base Vert, standing on base a female saint, dressed Argent, crowned and nimbed Or, holding a tower Gules in her right hand and leaning on a sword Or in pale with her left hand.
Meaning:
The village belonged to the Bishopric of Speyer since the 11th century until 1803. It had been a market town in the 18th century and used then a proper seal. The first print already displayed a woman, recognisable as St. Barbara by her attributes chalice and sword, on top of a medallion, displaying a cross, probably representing the Bishopric of Speyer. On later seals the chalice was replaced by the well known attribute of Barbara, a tower. This pattern also appeared in the arms since then. The colours blue and silver are those of the Bishopric of Speyer.
