Shield Gules, an embattled wall issuant Argent, masoned Sable with windows Sable, topped by two towers of the same, each with two oriels, oriels and towers with roofs Azure, between the windows an inescutcheon Or, charged with a lion rampant Sable, armed and tongued Gules, superimposed by a bendlet Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are based on coloured paintings from 1530 and 1603. The first seal is known from 1596. The inescutcheon displays the arms of the Bishopric of Bamberg, to which Teuschnitz belonged since 1388, until the bishopric was secularised in 1802/1803. Between 1819 and 1885 the inescutcheon was replaced by a shield gyronny of Argent and Azure. On seals the arms of the bishopric don't appear before the 17th century.
