Shield Sable two embattled towers Argent, superimposed by an impending inescutcheon on fess point, lozengy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
Neustadt gained city rights in 1273. The first seal prints from 1334 and a later secret seal basically displayed the current pattern with a circumscription "Seligenstadt", which had been the former name of the city. Since 1423 city seals displayed the towers connected by an arch. The original shield was parted per fess, in the 16th century however parted per pale, white and blue with towers in counterchanged tinctures (1523 (Johannes Aventin) and 1599) but also yellow and red with white towers. The tinctures of the inescutcheon always remained the same, referring to the Wittelsbach kin as local ruler. The current pattern is based on a draft made by Otto Hupp in 1925.

The colours of the banner are traditional. Arms are in use since the 14th century and were confirmed in 1928 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
