Shield Argent, parted by an abased fess Sable; in chief a lion passant guardant Sable, armed and tongued Gules; issuant from base a triplemount Vert.
Meaning:
The lion on top of a fess is taken from the arms of the Barons of Pfetten, whose existence is proven since the 12th century. Their ancestral seat had been the Schlossberg, a mountain in Landsberg-Phetine. Pürgen is one of the oldest possessions of the family. The family owned the surrounding district until the 16th century. The triplemount is symbolising the Schlossberg and numerous burial mounds in Frauenwald, a forest.
