Haßmersheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above lozengy of Azure and Argent, beneath Argent, a branch of vine plant Sable with green leaves and blue berries.
Meaning:
The Palatine Counts of the Pfalz-Mosbach branch gained single rights in 1400 and bought the lordship over Haßmersheim in 1410. In 1499 the Palatine Counts of Rhine gained the complete control. This is symbolised by the lozengy half. Though the village has been a popular place for shipping on Neckar River, the oldest seal with prints from 1739 already displayed a grapevine, although viticulture doesn't play a role today. The cuurent pattern could be found in seals since the 19th century.

The final arms were approved in 1961. The date of approval of the flag is unknown.
