Beelitz Coat of Arms

Shield Argent the Brandenburg eagle Gules with cloverstems on his wings; holding in his dexter claw a key, in his sinister claw a crescent Or, shield surmounted with a grey mural crown with three visible, embattled towers.
Meaning:
Elements of the current arms already can be found on Medieval city seals. The 1st known seal from 1307 displayed a key flanked by two crescents on a shield semy of blossoms. The key is the symbol of St. Peter, the patron saint of Brandenburg. The context of the crescents is widely unknown. Some say it would be an attribute of St. Mary, together with St. Nicholas co-patron saint of the local parish church and also patron saint of the Cistercian Abbey in Neustadt-Magdeburg, to which the city historically belonged. In the parish church a miracle of the Blessed Sacrament took place, and the city became a place of pilgrimage in the 13th and 14th century. The Margravess of Brandenburg had acquired Beelitz in 1321 and granted city rights around 1341. The arms thus displayed the eagle of Brandenburg, holding in its claws key and crescent, taken from the 1st seal. In 1459 the eagle appeared on the seal, besides the key and crescent. In the 16th century the eagle became the main charge on the seal, and from 1696 onwards the eagle is holding key and crescent. Currently the city often uses a mural crown on the shield. Former city arms displayed in a white shield a red key in pale, flanked by two red crescents. The flag colours are those of Brandenburg.

In 1967 the city received arms, which were based on the 1st seal . The current arms were approved on 10 January 1992.

Fichtenwalde Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with flanches Gules, in centre an eradicated fir Vert stemmed Sable.
Meaning:
The arms are canting. They are based on a table flag, perhaps of local allotment gardeners, from 1905, which seems strange, as the settlement was established three years later in 1908. It became a borough of Beelitz in 2002.

Flag, banner and arms have probably never been approved officially.
