Shield parted per pale; at dexter barry of six of Sable and Or, over all a crancelin Vert; at sinister Or a beaver rampant Sable, armed Argent and tongued Gules; chief parted per fess dancetty of Gules and Argent with three points.
Meaning:
Höchheim was established in 1978 by a merger of Gollmuthausen, Höchheim proper, Irmelshausen and Rothhausen. The chief displays the so called Franconian rake and is alluding to the Bishopric of Würzburg, to which Höchheim historically belonged. The dexter half displays the Saxonian arms and is alluding to the Dukes of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha, the successors of the bishops. The beaver (German: Bieber) displays the canting arms of the Baronss of Bibra, who owned estates and had incomes in the village. They acquired the moated castle of Irmelshausen in 1376 and refurbished it. Nowadays it is one of the nicest moated castles in Franken. Furthermore the kin earned parts of the tithe of Gollmuthausen in 1352. In 1478 they became reeves of Irmelshausen and in 1511 the gained the right of patronage of the parish church of Höchheim.
