Shield Vert a castle Argent with roofs Gules, in base an embowed fess chequered of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The green colour is alluding to the Counts of Henneberg. In their family arms there had been a green triplemount. The counts had been local liege lords since 1317. In 1368 they sold their fiefdoms to the Bishopric of Würzburg. The chequered fess is taken from the family arms of the Stewards of Wetzhausen, who gained the possessions of the Counts in Unsleben as a fiefdom of the bishopric. The fess is also representing the Cistercian Bildhausen Abbey, which was founded in 1156 and secularised in 1803. The castle is a representation of the local moated castle, which is a possession of the Barons of Habermann since 1749.
