In a green shield is a golden (= yellow) blossom of a thistle.
Meaning:
In Baienfurt around 1830 a special kind of the fuller's teasel, a thistle, was cultivated. The teasel was needed by the textiles industry to nap garments.

The flag was approved on 5 May 1982 by the county administration, published in GABl 560/1983. The coat of arms was approved in 1931 by the state archive's directorate.
