Shield Argent, a linden Vert with 21 leaves on top a mount Vert issuant from base.
Meaning:
The existence of the first local seal was proven in 1699 during the French occupation since 1680. It displayed the tree under a chief, charged with three fleur-de-lis of the Bourbon kin. A relief from the same time displays the tree alone. A court seal from 1700 displayed an eradicated tree in a shield, supported by two lions. Since 1698 the area was given back to four branches of the Nassau kin. Thus the fleur-de-lis were removed by the supporters. The tree is said to be the "tree of life" as a symbol of the redevelopment of the city since 1680. As a deciduous tree it appeared since 1842. Homburg is seat of the county.
