The white flag is divided by two black horizontal lines. Between the lines is the municipal coat of arms in the version valid until 1952, i.e. 1st quarter has black background and the shield is topped by a yellowish mural crown. The arms are superimposing both stripes.

It is nearly the same as the old state flag of Oldenburg. It is a blue flag with a red centred cross. There are added white dotted capital letters "O." (upper hoist),

It is a white flag with a red cotized off-centred cross superimposed by a shield. The shield is divided per pale. The dexter half is divided by a blue Latin cross, the sinister half by two blue barrulets. It is a
simplified version of the coat of arms of Olpe county.
