Submunicipal entity of Valdepinillos

The submunicipal entity of Valdepinillos (17 inhabitants in 2006) is located 10 km north-west of La Huerce.
Valdepinillos was listed as an independent municipality in the 1842 census; in the next census, performed in 1857, it was listed as a dependency of La Huerce. The status of submunicipal entity was granted in 1987.

The flag of Valdepinillos is prescribed by an Order issued on 27 August 2009 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 7 October 2009 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 196, p. 41,716 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Made of three equal vertical stripes, the outer, green, and the central, white. On the white stripe is placed a green pine, on each green stripe is placed a white pine. The pin's height shall be half the flag's width.

The coat of arms of Valdepinillos is prescribed by an Order issued on 27 August 2009 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 7 October 2009 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 196, p. 41,715 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Argent a pine vert chaussé vert two pines argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.

The flag is a simplification of the coat of arms. The arms are canting, forming a "V" representing "Val", "a valley", and featuring pines representing "pinillos" ("small pines"). White and green is the color combination usually representing vegetation.
