The municipality of Venturada (1,968 inhabitants in 2014; 979 ha; 1,435 ha; municipal website) is located in the north of the Community of Madrid, 50 km of Madrid and Guadalajara.
Venturada has kept a Moorish watch tower (atalaya) of 9.20 m in height, 1.34 m in thickness, and 5.7 m in diameter. Venturada increased in significance in the 12th century, being located on the road to the Pass of Somosierra, the main connection between the two most important Castilian towns, Burgos and Toledo.
Once part of Uceda, Venturada was granted the status of villa on 24 July 1593 by King Philip II.

The flag (photos,

The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: In proportions 2:3. Red panel, charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules three horns argent per pale, 2. Azure a castle argent masoned sable ensigned with a swallow-tailed banner argent surrounded by two stars of the same. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
The horns in the first quarter represent the inns that were established along the road to the Pass of Somosierra. The second quarter recalls that Venturada depended on Uceda.
