The flag of Palma de Mllorca is prescribed in Article 3.3 of Law No. 23 "de capitalitat de Palma", adopted on 20 December 2006 and published on 27 December 2006 in the official gazette of the Balearic Islands, No. 186 (text), as follows:
The official flag of Palma de Majorca shall be the one granted by King Sancho of Majorca, which features the Royal arms of the country and, in the upper part, the image of the castle in white on purple.
The municipality of Palma de Mallorca (universidad) and the island of Mallorca have always been considered as one entity. Therefore there had never been a special desire of having a proper town's flag, therefore Palma uses the same flag as Mallorca.

Burgee of RCNP, left, as prescribed; right, as used - Images by José Carlos Alegria, 17 August 1999, and Klaus-Michael Schneider, 14 June 2009, respectively
Real Club Náutico de Palma was the result of the merging in 1948 of Real Club de Regatas de Palma with Club España, both of which had been founded in the late 19th century.
The burgee of RCNP represents the register flag of Mallorca with a cross of St. George on it and the royal crown in the canton: a 20:35 medium blue triangle with a dark red cross of width 3 [units] overall (offset from the hoist by 9 units), white canton charged with a Spanish royal crown 4 units wide (photo, ¡Hola!, No. 2,767, 21 August 1997, p. 79).
José Carlos Alegria & Antínio Martins, 27 December 1999
The burgee actually flown on the roof of the club's boat house has a ximple red crown, which can indeed be better recognized.
