Symbols of Aldeanueva de Barbarroya

The flag of Aldeanueva de Barbarroya is prescribed by an Order issued on 27 june 2001 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 13 July 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 79, p. 8,566 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, vertically divided in three parts, the lateral, white, and the central, red, of double length.

Before 1851, the municipality used a seal, of unknown origin, with two bears in pale, subsequently substituted by the national arms.
On 24 July 1980, the Municipal Council approved a shield surmunted by a lord's coronet inscribed with "NACI EN EL ARROYO" (Born from the Brook), the first quarter featuring a cross, three stars, three circles and a censer, symbolizing the subdistrict of Zarzuela, hospitality, and spirituality, respectively, and the second quarter featuring a holly oak and a wolf passant.
The Royal Academy of History amended the coat of arms to "Per fess, 1. Argent a holly oak vert flanked by a wolf sable, 2. Argent a Cross of Saint James gules. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed."
[José Luis Ruz Márquez & Ventura Leblic García. Heraldica municipal de la Provincia de Toledo. 1983]

The Municipal Council adopted the proposed design on 24 February 1983. The arms were allegedey approved by a Resolution adopted on 13 April 1983 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, which cannot be found in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha.
