Colours of the National Police

The flags used by the French National Police have the same design as the Army colours: square (90 cm x 90 cm) tricolor flags with a golden-fringed tricolour cravat (90 cm x 24 cm).
The obverse bears the gilded writings "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" (50 mm high) on two lines separated by 4 cm, "MINISTÈRE DE L'INTÉRIEUR - POLICE NATIONALE" (50 mm high) on two lines separated by 30 cm, 8 cm under the word "FRANÇAISE".
The reverse bears the gilded letters "RF" (55 cm high), for "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". Each corner of the flag bears a wreath of oak and laurel leaves with the gilded letters "PN", for "POLICE NATIONALE" (50 cm high).
The staff shall be 2.10 m long with a pike-shaped finial (39.4 cm), which bears the letters "RF" on one side and "PN" on the other side.

On the flags of police schools and units, the writings "POLICE NATIONALE" and "PN" are replaced by the names and acronyms of the school or untis, as follows:
- "ÉCOLE NATIONALE SUPÉRIEURE DE LA POLICE" (on three lines) / ENSP (flag prescribed by Decree No. 314 of 26 February 2002, consolidated version of 26 October 2015 [text]);
- "POLICE AUX FRONTI&Egrve;RES" / PAF (flag prescribed by Decree No. 315 of 26 February 2002, consolidated version of 26 October 2015 [text]);
- "ƒCOLE NATIONALE SUPƒRIEURE DES OFFICIERS DE POLICE" / ENSOP (flag prescribed by Decree No. 316 of 26 February 2002, consolidated version of 26 October 2015 [text]);
- "ƒCOLES NATIONALES DE POLICE" / ENP (flag prescribed by Decree No. 317 of 26 February 2002, consolidated version of 26 October 2015 [text]);
- on the flag of the RAID (Unitź de recherche, d'assistance, d'intervention et de dissuasion, French SWAT), the reverse bears the words "SERVIR SANS FAILLIR" (To Serve Without Fail) (flag prescribed by Decree No. 411 of 5 May 2003, consolidated version of 26 October 2015 [text]);

The motorized unti of the National Police has a pennant (photo), which does not appear to be regulated.
