The UK Independence Party is a Eurosceptic, right-wing populist political
party in the United Kingdom, although they describe themselves as liberal,
patriotic and democratic. The party reached its greatest level of success in the
mid-2010s, when it gained two members of Parliament and was the largest party
representing the UK in the European Parliament. UKIP originated as the
Anti-Federalist League, a single-issue Eurosceptic party established in London
by Alan Sked in 1991. It was renamed UKIP September 3, 1993.

The flags typically also include information about the intellectual property
of the design and the manufacturer, inscribed in tiny yellow letters beneath the
party name, as revealed by the above sources. However, that is not the essential
part of the design, as revealed by the party flag images at the UKIP online

A rarely
used flag variant has yellow field, with the coin logo separated by a thin
purple fimbriation and the party name inscribed in purple as well. The said
information about the intellectual property of the design and the
manufacturer is missing there.
