Album des Pavillons 2000 [pay00] does not show a specific flag for a pilot. However, a specific pilot's flag did exist in the past, blue, with a white cross and a white border. Three renditions of the flag differ in details:
- Album des Pavillons 1995 [pie95]: Proportions 2:3,cross and border of the same width;
- Great Greek Encyclopedia 1934 (image) and Flaggenbuch 1939 [neu92]: Proportions 9:11; width of the white border, 2/9 of the flag's width; width of the cross, 1/9 of the flag 's width;
- National Geographic 1917 [gmc17]: larger border and thinner cross.

Webster's New International Dictionary [w6h24] shows a completely different flag, blue with a large yellow border.

Port Captain's flag

Album des Pavillons 1995 [pie95], shows the port Captain's flag similar to the pilot's flag, but with an anchor inscribed in a blue circle placed in the center of the flag. The flag is no longer shown in Album des Pavillons 2000.
Flaggenbuch [neu92] [neu92] shows a similar flag, but in proportion 28:36. The specification give the width of the white border as 1/7 of the flag height and the width of the white cross as 1/7 of the flag height. A blue anchor is on a white disc surrounded by a blue ring, whe width of which is 1/28 of the flag height, in the middle of the flag.

The Great Greek Encyclopedia, 1934 (image and Flaggenbuch (1939-1941) [neu] show boat flags as square blue flags with a white Greek capital letter:
- Λ: Port authority, probably for λιμανι, port
- Ε Λ: Port inspection
- Σ Β: Army station
- Τ: Customs administration
- Τ Τ Τ: Post
- Υ: Health Service, probably for υγια, health (the origin of the word hygiene

The specifications for the size of the letters are the following:
- Height: 5/11 of the flag width
- Width: 3/11 of the flag width
- Downstroke width: 4/55 of the flag width

These flags are not shown in any other source.
