LIPE: Liga Guineense de Protecção Ecológica
(Guinean League for Ecological Protection), led by Abubacar Rachid
Djaló. This party is not listed among the candidates of either the
2004
nor the

elections (q.v. as reported from Wikipedia) as it is one of the member of
the U.M. coalition. According to
“A
la recherche du mouvement Vert en Guinée Bissau”, LIPE
was created in 1991, as the 12th party in Guinea Bissau’s newly
leaving its single-party regime. It successfully supported its leader to
the presidential election of 1994 (getting 8%) and got 2 seats in the
Parliament in a simultaneous election, when it run within a six-party
coalition. LIPE was a minor partner in several cabinets during the
2000ies.

The flag of LIPE is shown in both ballot papers
reported (#9 in Bissau-28 and #8 in Bissau-29). It is a green flag
with the party emblem on the upper fly. The flag ratio is roughly 5:7 as
most others’ in the ballot papers are. The party emblem is a dark
blue faucet profile dripping two drops of water.
