Flag of Šolta

As the flag and coat of arms were not in accordance with Croatian heraldry, they decided to change it and here is the result. The flag is red with a yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.

The ceremonial flag is a red gonfalon with three triangle-ending tails in which there are golden ornaments, olive branches in the middle and vines in the outer ones, and in the middle is the coat of arms with the name of the municipality in two arches.

The flag of Šolta (photos, 2010) is a vertical red banner with the coat of arms in the middle and five segmented yellow sleeves along the top.
Whether this is a ceremonial flag or simply the only one produced without distinguishing between the normal and ceremonial design is hard to tell at this point.

Å olta seems to use its historic coat of arms now in all formal occasions, without complying to the government regulations.
The coat of arms (image) is in the historic form of an oval shield in a cartouche depicting St. Stephen, standing and holding a palm branch.
