Presentation of Pisarovina

The municipality of Pisarovina (3,697 inhabitants in 2001, 418 in the village of Pisarovina) is located some 25 km due south of Zagreb, near river Kupa.

The coat of arms (image) is "Vert a fountain masoned argent and in base a catfish or".
The arms represent the village of Jamnica Pisarovinska (55 inh.), reknown for its sources of excellent mineral, one of the most prominent Croatian exports. The arms also recall that the local pure natural waters are also a resource for fresh water fishing.
