The Baltimore Sailing Club of Baltimore, Co. Cork in the South of Ireland was
founded in the 1950s (exact year uncertain, for practical reasons 1952 is
maintained), at first as a move to help the local boat industry. Family
oriented, BSC counts about 200 members. Much of the club’s website is restricted
to members:

drawing – and there is a pointer to a characteristic design element as well.
Horizontally divided light blue above black, near the hoist a stylized
rendition of a local monument, the Baltimore Beacon, vertically divided white
