Local Council Mughar (usually known as Maghar or El-Maghar -
meaning cave) is named after the many caves on the
sloops of Mount Hazon. It is situated on the south sloops of
Mount Hazon, 9 kms south-east of Karmiel
with 18,200 inh. (2003), 57% Druze 23% Christian, 20% Moslems.
In the past the inhabitants were famous in their olives and in
production of olive oil (hence the olive tree in the emblem).
Founded about 600 years ago, and a Local Council since 1956.

I visited Maghar yesterday. The flag is indeed green emblem on
white. The inscriptions are above (Hebrew) and below (Arabic) the
emblem.
