I recieved a letter from Regional Council of Misgav's spokewoman Mrs. Sharon Shafrir saying, Regional Council of Misgav does not have an official flag and in case of need the Regional Council is using its logo on a white flag". She also added information on the Regional Council as follows:
The Misgav Regional Council was established in 1982 in the heart of the Galilee, covering 50,000 acres, today has 34 villages and total population of 15,000 residents, including 4,500 Bedouin Arabs. The Council was established in order to supply municipal services and to accelerate the development of a new region, which its establishment as a new rural settlement project fulfills a number of national needs, among which are the following: the diffusion of the State's population and an exemplary project to attract immigrants.
Throughout Israel, Misgav is considered a most dynamic and innovative region. The Regional Council, recipient of numerous government awards for quality and accountable management, is lauded as one of the country's finest examples of how a municipal administration should manage its community.
The Regional Council of Misgav is situated in western and
central Galilee (North District) from both sides of Beit-Ha'Kerem
valley. Its name originated in an ancient book The wars of
the Jews by Yosef Ben Matitiahu (Josephus Plavius).
