Recent changes have taken place with the evolution of the organization.

First established on October 10, 2000 as Евразийское экономическое сообщество (English: The Eurasian Economic Community ), it was decided on October 10, 2014, an agreement on the termination of the Eurasian Economic Community was signed in Minsk after a session of the Interstate Council of the EAEC (or EurAsEC). The Eurasian Economic Community was terminated on December 31, 2014 to evolve into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from from 1 January 2015 onwards.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of states located primarily in northern Eurasia. A treaty (the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union: http://www.eaeunion.org/files/history/2014/2014_2.pdf) aiming for the establishment of the EAEU was signed on 29 May 2014 by the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, and came into force on 1 January 2015. Its executive body is the Eurasian Commission (official website: http://www.eurasiancommission.org).

Its flag is the same symbol (https://en.wikipedia.org/) as Eurasec, but instead of yellow, it featured gold, as seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_Economic_Union#/media/File:Flag_of_the_Eurasian_Economic_Union.svg

The Flag

This flag carries the emblem of the Eurasian Economic Community (EURASEC). The members are Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The logo and flag seem to represent a map of all the member countries. This has got to be one of the larger and more artificial landmasses depicted on any flag. Also, one of the most difficult maps to recognize, especially with its small size.

Apparently, there was some sort of contest for the design of the Eurasec (Eurasian Economic Community) flag and emblem. I got this info from:
http://www.eurasianet.org/resource/kyrgyzstan/hypermail/200112/0028.shtml which says it was from Radio Free Europe/ Radio Liberty (A US government service) Kyrgyz News of December 14, 2001. The winner was to receive a prize of the equivalent of about $1,250 (A number was also given in Kyrgyz currency but this struck me as irrelevant since the contest was surely open to all nationalities of the Community). It said terms of the contest were on www.mpa.eurasec.org, but this link is now dead. I presume that this contest resulted in the current flag and emblem of Eurasec, but one can never be sure.
