The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jan 1st 2006 by Notice No 1.
The white flag has a red city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized katakana ニノヘ Ninohe.
The city emblem reminds us of a harmony with an abundant nature and the
people, the depth of the historic culture and the security.
It represents a surge and a development of the vigorous and safe city.
The flag proportion is 2: 3.
The height of the emblem is 68/100 height of the flag
