The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jul 18th 2005 by Notice No 107.
The white flag has a green, a blue and an orange three color city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylied hiragana ゆ Yu of Yuzawa.
The green color stands for strongly growing rice stalks and the green mountains,
the blue color for the fresh stream of River Omono and the orange color for
a vigor and a historical culture.
The flag proportion is 2:3.
The length of the emblem is 104/210 the length of the flag.

from 2005, part of the city of Yuzawa.
