The city emblem was adopted on Dec 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a green and a blue two color city emblem in the center. The city
embelm is a stylized N of Nihonmatsu. The green color stands for the beautiful
nature and the row of Abukuma mountains, the blue color for Abukuma River
running thru the center of the city. It represents an image of the future city
which is a core city of Adachi Region in the prefecture with a harmony and a
solidarity of the new citizen and makes a leap forward to the future.
