The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The light green flag has a green, a blue and an orange three color
city emblem in the center and the kanji name in green in the canton. The city
emblem is stylized N and S. The orange circle symbolizes a bright future of the
city and an image of the peoples contact with nature. It represents the image of
the people of the former one city and two towns going forward to the future and
Nasugahara Plain which has an abundant nature such as mountains and rivers.
