The city emblem was adopted on Jun 3rd 2006 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is a stylized kanji 五 Go of Gosen in a form of a tulip flower. The two
circles symbolizes an image of the people of merged a city and a town who take
each other hands and make a leap forward to the future, the upper part does
three mountains and the lower part does Agano River,Hayade River. The blue color
stands for a fresh stream and the green color for the nature.
