The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Instruction No
39. The white flag has a green, a yellow and a blue three color city emblem in
the center. The city emblem is a stylized K of Kaga in a form of a boiled hot
water. The green color stands for an abundant green earth, the yellow color for
a hot spring and the blue color for a vast Japan Sea. It represents an image of
the city which makes a leap forward to the future and a wish for the citizen to
care and support each other. The flag proportion is 2:3.
