The city emblem was adopted on Oct 2nd 1922 by Notice No 58 and the
flag was adopted on Jun 3rd 1966 by Circular Notice No 1. The white flag has a
blue city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a kanji 一 Ichi of Ichinomiya
in a modified Goreikyo = a mirror with five bells owned by Shinchu Shrine. The
flag proportin is 10:13.
